Last Friday we had the privilege of attending the 2014 final assembly at Westbourne Grammar School. Almira Shen (a year 9 student) superbly performed Prelude by Rachmaninoff, awards were presented to their outstanding students and Belinda (Vice-President KH) presented the Kampuchea House Writing Awards to the senior school students. Mark McDermott (School Co-Captain) then presented Belinda with a cheque in excess of $30,000 which is the result of the students’ fundraising efforts during the year.
Kampuchea House is enormously indebted to the students of Westbourne Grammar for their tireless efforts in supporting KH. We thank Mark and Chelsea Perera (School Co-Captain), the Prefects, the House Captains and all the students who worked so hard to achieve such an awesome result. We also gratefully acknowledge the support of Ms. Hansen (Principal), Mr. McGregor (Associate Principal), Ms. Mahony (Head of Senior School), Rev. Thompson and all the Westbourne staff. We look forward to welcoming the students and staff during their visit to KH in April next year.
